Borrowed from Company's Coming: Slower Cooker Recipes
2C brown sugar packed
1/4 C flour
1/3 C water
1/2 C vinegar
2 tbsp soya sauce
2 tbsp ketchup
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp garlic powder
3 lbs meaty pork spareribs
Combine all ingredients, except ribs, in a sauce pan and boil until thickened. Layer ribs in slow cooker and pour sauce over top. Cover and cook on low for 10-12 hours or high for 5-6.

Carrot Health Muffins
Borrowed from High Plains Cookbook
1 C all purpose flour
1C whole wheat flour
1 C raisins
3/4 C brown sugar
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 C chopped nuts
2 eggs
1 egg white
2/3 C plain yogurt (I used vanilla)
2 tsp vanilla
3 C grated carrots
1 C grated apple
Combine flours, raisin, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, baking soda, salt and nuts in a large bowl. In a separate brown whisk eggs, yogurt, vanilla, carrots and apples. Pour wet ingredients over dry and stir until combined. Spool into muffins cups and bake for 40 minutes at 350F. Makes about 18 muffins.
